FCS Data & Testing Specialist Honored with ‘Leveraging Data for Change’ Award
Franklin Community Schools is excited to recognize Data & Testing Specialist, Pam Kissel for receiving a ‘Leveraging Data for a Change’ award, bestowed by Illuminate Education, and is part of a program honoring a select group of educators committed to increasing the power of teaching and the delight of learning.
Kissel was selected because of her dedication and work around empowering educators to make data-informed decisions that support each student. She ensures that all stakeholders--from administrators to teachers to students--have access to the data they need to support students on their unique learning journeys. In her role, Kissel enables educators to create cross-comparisons of student data--both present and past--identify areas of strength and need, and make instructional decisions based on factual indicators.
"I was honored to receive this award on behalf of Franklin Community Schools,” says Kissel. “To be recognized as leveraging data for change shows our goal of using our data for informed decisions is being noticed and worthy of recognition."
“Outstanding award for a really wonderful educator,” Dr. David Clendening, Superintendent said. “She deserves this award and much more for all she does for FCS.”
Kissel recently received the award at the Annual National Data Conference.
