Eric Jenkins has been named a top 3 finalist for the 2024 Indiana Teacher of the Year. Jenkins, an English teacher at Franklin Community High School, was surprised by the IDOE Senior Director of Educator Talent/Leadership and Innovation, Rebecca Estes, and many former teacher of the year winners with the announcement.
"Eric is a student favorite," FCHS Principal Steve Ahaus said. “After years of excellent instruction, he is very deserving of this award. He is a model for what we want a professional teacher to look like in the classroom and around the building.”
The Indiana Teacher of the Year will be announced later this fall.
