She stated in her Indiana Teacher of the Year professional biography. “ I have planted many reading seeds throughout the years. I’ve watered them with the best research I could find but more importantly fertilized them with enthusiasm and love. Students blossoming into readers has always been my goal. I plan to see a field of flowers wherever I look!”As an Instructional Coach, Denise is fortunate to work with new teachers helping them succeed in their first year of teaching. She especially enjoys helping new teachers utilize best classroom management and learning strategies to ensure student success. Her desire is for each teacher to empower themselves so that reading proficiency occurs for each student.
Denise lives on the family farm with her husband Charlie, dog Champ, cat Bailey and lots of cows and calves! She has two grown daughters, Ashley and Mary.
