  • Unified Track and Field Debuts at FCHS

    “Unified Sports® was first developed by Special Olympics as a means of providing a quality experience of sports training and competition in an inclusive environment that allows friendships to form. It is the vision of this joint IHSAA / Special Olympics Indiana (SOIN) sports project to allow high school students with and without intellectual disabilities to collectively represent their high school in an IHSAA sanctioned activity by participating together on a Unified Sports® team.”

  • Baseball goes 3-3 for the Week

    The baseball team started play last week at the Columbus East Invitational. In the opener the Grizzly Cubs were downed by the host Olympians 10-0. Playing in the consolation round, the Grizzly Cubs trounced Herron High School 29-0 to finish in third place.

  • Girls Tennis Wins 4 in a Row; Advances to County Semis

    The girls tennis team has run off four wins in a row after their first loss of the season against Mooresville. On Saturday, April 15, the Lady Cubs played two conference opponents picking up victories over Plainfield and Martinsville.

  • Golf 5th at CG, Wins Southmont Invitational

    On Saturday, April 15, the Grizzly Cubs golf team traveled to the Center Grove Trojan Classic and finished 5th against a strong field. Javan Johnson finished 2nd in the event with a round of 74. Other scores for the Grizzly Cubs were Emerson Downing 79, Matt Jordan 83, Kade Edwards 88, and Blake McIntire 91.

  • #5 Boys Volleyball Goes 3-2 on the Week

    The Grizzly Cubs boys volleyball team had an action packed week against some of the state’s best programs. The team started the week with a road contest at Lutheran. The team made short work of the Saints defeating them in three sets 25-18, 25-15, 25-13.

  • Softball Plays 6 Games in 8 Days

    The girls softball team entered a busy stretch of the season with 6 games in 8 days starting with the Warren Central Invitational.

  • Girls Track 4th at County, 6th at Bill Self

    The Franklin Girls track and field team won two events on Tuesday evening on their way to a 4th place finish at the Johnson County Track Meet. The 4x400 relay team of Kloie Doublin, Ally Parramore, Maggie Auger, and Emma Beavins took the championship with a time of 4:12.

  • Boys Track 2nd at County, 3rd at Bill Self Invite

    The Franklin boys track and field team tallied three county championships on Tuesday evening on their way to a runner-up finish at the Johnson County Track Meet.

  • Baseball Falls in County Semis

    The Johnson County baseball tourney is very early in the season. After dropping their first two games of the season, the Grizzly Cubs entered the County Tourney looking to turn things around. In the opening round, the team travelled to Indian Creek to take on the Braves.

  • Softball Fights Hard to get First Win

    The 2017 softball season was tough sledding early on. They had tough competition and tough weather getting in their way early on. However, the team kept working and finally got in the win column!

  • Boys Golf Getting in the Swing

    The boys golf team opened the 2017 season by competing in the Hall of Fame Tournament at Rock Hollow. In the 18 team field the Grizzly Cubs finished 5th with a score of 319. They were led by Javan Johnson’s team low 71.

  • Girls Tennis Opens Season 3-1

    Unseasonably cool weather mixed with cold temperatures to wreak havoc on the opening week of the girls tennis season. After a match with Perry Meridian had to be postponed the Lady Cubs finally hit the court for a pair of matches on Saturday.

    After splitting their first two matches of the season against Hamilton Southeastern and top ranked Carmel, the Grizzly Cubs boys volleyball team has run off an impressive streak of 6 straight wins!
