When inclement weather comes our way, Franklin Community Schools is ready. There is nothing more important than the safety of our student so FCS has a plan that is executed every time there is consideration of school being delayed or closing due to weather conditions.
Communication to parents is a very important part of the process when the decision is made to delay or cancel classes. Here are ways to find out if school has been delayed or canceled.
Blackboard Connect 5 - An automated message is sent out as soon as a decision is made. If you are not receiving this phone call or if you need to change your contact information, please contact your specific building.
Media outlets - Check any of these local media outlets: RTV 6, WISH-TV -8, MyINDY - TV channel 23, WTHR - TV13, WXIN - Fox 59, WTTV 4, as well as WKKG 101.5, QMIX 107.3, Korn Country 100.3, WCBK 102.3, Z99.5, The Track 107.9, and WXNT - 1430 AM radio stations.

In the event of a two-hour delay, school will start two hours after the normal start time. This also means that the bus routes will run two hours after their normal start times.
