Based on the recommendation of the Compensation Model Committee in 2012, a secondary Project Charter was developed to study a Total Rewards model as the basis for a Human Resource Development (HRD) program. HRD can improve the culture by placing an emphasis on improving people which, in turn, improves the entire organization. The Total Rewards committee members have been diligently working to collect relevant data to prepare a valuable total rewards package.
The committee prioritized several categories typically found in a total rewards value set. The committee used an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a comparative analysis tool to prioritize several areas. FCS also utilized small focus groups for the work-life, performance and recognition, and professional development elements to help narrow the focus toward a value set that is tailored for our employees.
